The second-highest point in the Funeral Mountains, Schwaub Peak stands 6,448 feet tall and is an occasional hiker's destination. The moderately difficult route to the summit begins at Inyo Mine and includes visits to the Red Amphitheater and Hole-in-the-Wall before ending at Highway 190. It's about 20 miles all the way, although some hikers shorten the trip by arranging for a pickup at the Red Amphitheater jeep trail.
