Saline Valley Campground (Primitive) Details
Saline Valley Campground is a remote, primitive camping area near a clothing optional hot spring in one of the most isolated regions of Death Valley National Park. Located at 1,375 feet in elevation and roughly 35 miles from the nearest paved road, it offers a true backcountry experience far from developed services. Access requires a high clearance vehicle with all terrain tires, and road or weather conditions may require four wheel drive. Visitors must cross either North Pass at 7,300 feet or South Pass at 5,997 feet to reach the valley, and winter conditions can make the route impassable. There are 15 sites and no hookups or developed facilities. Campers must be fully self sufficient and prepared for rugged desert travel. Road conditions and access are subject to change.
