Homestake Campground (Primitive) Details
Homestake Campground is an extremely remote, primitive camping area located at 3,785 feet in elevation in a rugged section of Death Valley National Park. This isolated site is intended for experienced backcountry travelers seeking a true off grid desert adventure. Access requires a high clearance vehicle with all terrain tires, and routes such as Lippincott Pass from Saline Valley Road should only be attempted by skilled four wheel drivers familiar with rough, steep terrain. Road conditions can change quickly and may become impassable. There are 10 sites and no services of any kind. There is no water, no trash collection, no dump station, and no approved toilet facilities. Campers must bring all necessary supplies and pack out everything they bring in. Visitors should be fully self sufficient and prepared for remote desert conditions. Access and conditions are subject to change.
