Highway 190 Details

California Highway 190 is the single most important access road for Death Valley National Park. Itbegins at US 395 in Olancha, Calif., then heads east through the park, ending at State Route 127 in Death Valley Junction. Heading west to east, 190 accesses the Panamint Springs area, passes the Emigrant Campground, and continues to Stovepipe Wells Village before turning south to the Furnace Creek Visitor Center. The road passes Zabriskie Point, the park's most popular scenic overlook, before leaving the national park. Major roads intersected by 190 within the park include Scotty's Castle Road, Emigrant Canyon Road, and Badwater Road.
