Eureka Dunes Campground (Primitive) Details
Eureka Dunes Campground is a remote, primitive campground located at 2,880 feet at the base of Eureka Dunes, the tallest sand dunes in California and home to several rare and endemic plant species. The setting is stark, quiet, and dramatically beautiful, offering a true backcountry experience far from paved roads and developed areas. Access requires a high clearance vehicle, and visitors should be prepared for rough road conditions. There are seven sites and no services of any kind. There is no potable water, no trash collection, and no facilities. Campers must bring all necessary supplies and pack out everything they bring in. Because of the fragile dune ecosystem, visitors are asked to drive only on existing roads and tread lightly on the dunes. This is a fully self sufficient camping experience in one of the most isolated corners of Death Valley National Park. Conditions and access are subject to change.
