Whittington Park Details
Named in honor of early Hot Springs resident Hiram Whittington, Whittington Park was originally called Whittington Lake Reserve when it was built in the late 1890s. Just north of West Mountain, the park once featured two shallow rowing lakes, several pavilions, tennis courts, carriage drives and a caretaker's house, but today the main attraction is the 1.2-mile Whittington Trail, which loops around the park. Visitors who want to take on the Mountain Top Trail can also park at Whittington Park.
