Red Hills Visitor Center Details

The Red Hills Visitor Center is open 364 days a year (closed Christmas Day), 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. At the park's main visitor center you'll find cultural and natural-history exhibits of the Sonoran Desert, as well as screenings of the 15-minute film, “Voices of the Desert,” which gives a Native American perspective of the Sonoran Desert. Check with park rangers regarding programs offered during your visit, and take a look through the bookstore, as well. Before heading out, be sure to take in the splendor of the landscape right from the visitor center’s back porch, with views of the mountains and saguaro dominated desert. The entrance to Saguaro National Park's Tucson Mountain District on North Kinney Road is also where you'll find the Red Hills Visitor Center. The Visitor Center is open 364 days a year (closed Christmas Day), 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saguaro National Park is open to vehicles from sunrise to sunset daily; times vary throughout the year. You can walk or bike into the park 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
