The Quilter Trail is part of the much larger Arizona Trail, which runs 817 miles from the Coronado National Memorial, across the Huachuca and Santa Rita mountains, and through Colossal Cave Mountain Park before entering the Rincon Mountain District of Saguaro National Park. Here, its name changes to the Quilter Trail. The trail continues through the park, where it exits into the Rincon Mountain wilderness and then the Coronado National Forest before continuing on to the Santa Catalina Mountains.
