This winding, 3.5-mile loop drive provides easy access to the Blue Mesa region of Petrified Forest National Park. Blue Mesa Loop Road intersects with Petrified Forest Road in the South Unit of the park, between The Tepees and Agate Bridge. In addition to being a lovely scenic drive through multicolored badlands full of mesas, buttes, cones, and other formations, the road provides access to the Blue Mesa Trail and the Blue Forest Trail. The road is open to bicyclists as well as automobiles.
