Train Depot Details
One of a handful of surviving log train stations, the Grand Canyon Depot dates to 1910 and was located close to the El Tovar Hotel for the convenience of Santa Fe Railroad passengers arriving at the rim of the canyon. Today, passengers on the Grand Canyon Railroad arrive and depart at the station on excursions from Williams, Ariz., and the first floor of the depot still provides services to travelers. The second floor of the depot once housed the station agent's family.
