South Entrance Details
The South Entrance is the main access point for the vast majority of people visiting Grand Canyon National Park. Located about 60 miles north of Williams, Ariz., it is the gateway to the South Rim, home to many of the park's best-known manmade attractions like the El Tovar Hotel and the park headquarters. All visitors must pay a fee to enter the park at the South Entrance Station. The current fees are $25 for a vehicle permit (including all passengers) and $12 per person for individuals arriving by foot, bicycle, or motorcycle. Your permit allows you to spend up to seven consecutive days in the park. The South Rim is open 365 days per year, 24 hours a day.
