Arizona Trail Details
The Arizona Trail is a long-distance trail covering the entire length of the state from Utah to Mexico. Begun in 1988, the trail will eventually cover more than 800 miles, however, the trail has yet to be completed. In the Grand Canyon, this trail is often broken up for day hikes, and hits both the North and South Rims. On the North Rim it runs into Kaibab National Forest, while it encounters Walnut Canyon and the outskirts of Flagstaff on the South Rim. The trail itself is not particularly difficult, but does contain a few challenging stretches.
