Hubert's Landing Cabin Details
This small backcountry cabin is located in the southeast corner of the park. Accessible by airstrip, the cabin is nestled in a valley of the upper Chitna River. No reservations are required. This cabin has two twin-sized bunks, a wood stove, a table and bench, and a pit toilet. Important information about all park cabins: These cabins are all rustic backcountry cabins. Most are old mining, trapping, or hunting cabins that are located on public land and have come under the protection of the NPS. There is no running water, plumbing, or potable water on premises. There is a pit toilet outhouse at each cabin and each cabin has basic furnishings including wooden bunks, tables/chairs, and wood burning stoves. Each cabin is free to use (except Esker Stream Cabin) and most are first-come, first-served, though it is recommended to bring camping gear in case the cabin is already occupied on arrival. Maximum use for each cabin is seven days in a thirty day period. Consider bringing firewood since dead or downed wood is not always available, as well as dishes, supplies, toilet paper, and bedding. Visitors must pack out all garbage and leftover food.
