Trail Creek Route Details

From the south shore of Telaquana Lake, hike south to the Trail Creek drainage, which is in alpine country that turns into rocky glacial moraine. Once you climb up the steep rocky pass (watch out for loose boulders!), you'll descend down the steep and rocky north side of the pass and onto a wide glacier. Follow the glacier downhill and then the river, and you'll find yourself at Turquoise Lake. To access the Trail Creek Route, you will need to fly into Telaquana Lake; pickup can be at a variety of other lakes, including Turquoise and Twin Lakes.
