Get out into the wilderness and set up camp along Lower Twin Lake for a night under the stars. There aren't any designated campsites here, so pick a spot and go for it! There aren't any fees, permits, or reservations needed to camp in the park, but you should complete a [Voluntary Backcountry Registration](http://www.nps.gov/lacl/planyourvisit/upload/Voluntary%20Backcountry%20Registration.pdf) for informational purposes. Park rangers don't track your movements in the park, so be sure to leave a trip plan with a friend or relative as a safety precaution. Before heading out on a camping trip, be sure to review the park's rules regarding destroying vegetation, disposing of human waste, trash, drones, firearms, picnicking, and food storage. Camping is limited to a total of 21 days between April 15 and Sept. 30 (unless otherwise authorized) within two miles of Upper and Lower Twin Lakes; there are no camping time restrictions between Oct. 1 and April 14. The ranger station at Lower Twin Lake is staffed during the summer months.
