Rock Creek Trail Details
This forested trail has occasional steep sections along its 2.4-mile route. Elevation gain is 400 feet as it runs generally uphill from east to west, with a maximum grade of 15%. The hike will take about 1.5 hours each way. Trailhead is off the Taiga Trail, which in turn connects to park headquarters, the sled dog kennels, and the visitor center. A popular mid-length hiking option is to create a loop by combining the Rock Creek and Roadside trails.
