Mount Healy Overlook Trail Details
This is probably the most strenuous hike in the park entrance area, a steep trail with grades of up to 25% that gains 1,700 feet as you venture out of the woods and into Denali's alpine region. The trail is only about two feet wide and comprised of native soil, rocks, and roots. It will take at least 2 hours to cover the 2.7 miles to the overlook, but your reward (if the weather cooperates) is a good view of Mt. McKinley. To get to the trailhead, follow the Taiga Trail for half a mile.
