Leinster Bay Beach Details
An easy 0.5-mile trail (one way) leads to Leinster Bay Beach on the northeastern side of St. John. Here you'll find a lovely beach that's not as broad as some, but it's got more than enough room for everyone who wants to come swim, snorkel, or soak up some sun. There's shade cast by shoreline trees if you need a break, and the water's about as perfect as it gets. If you have your snorkeling gear, you can swim out to Waterlemon Cay, a little island just offshore in the mouth of the bay, or you can stick close to home and see what creatures are stirring closer to shore. You stand a good chance of seeing anything from rays to sea turtles to starfish to conch and, of course, everpresent tropical fish.
