Lameshur Bay Beach Details
Lameshur Bay Beach is something of an open secret. Many visitors aren't willing to make the drive to the south side of St. John to visit this gorgeous spot, but those who do tend to keep tight lipped about it. For good reason: the sand is close to perfect, there are a few shady spots where you can take a break, a handful of picnic tables and charcoal grills make it easy to set up a day camp here, and there is some great snorkeling to be had. For the best snorkeling, check out the huge bed of sea grass on the bottom, an excellent spot to see rays and sea turtles. Because the bay doesn't really see heavy wave action, it's easy to stay out snorkeling with the turtles for as long as you'd like.
