Lameshur Bay Details
The south side of St. John is rugged and rocky, and many of the beaches here are remote. Lameshur Bay and its beach are among these. Highway 107 turns east and transitions into a dirt road (which may require a 4x4 or high-clearance vehicle, check with the visitor center for road conditions) and leads one mile to Great Lameshur Bay and 1.5 miles to Little Lameshur Bay. Both bays have excellent snorkeling, and the beaches are secluded and wonderful. Several trailheads -- Bordeaux Mountain, Lameshur Bay, and Yawzi Point -- can be found at various points along this road.
