Hawksnest Bay Details
Another excellent bay for swimming, snorkeling, or simply sunning yourself on the sand is Hawksnest Bay. The bay is to the east of Caneel Bay; the two are separated by the peninsula where the Caneel Bay Resort sits. Due to Hawksnest Bay's orientation, the beach can get larger waves, but nothing intimidating -- just fun surf perfect for splashing in. The beach here is a little narrow, but there are a few amenities that make it especially appealing, including toilets, changing rooms, grills, and picnic tables. The parking area isn't too small, but arrive early to be sure you get a parking spot.
