Cinnamon Bay Trail Details
Connecting North Shore with Centerline Road, Cinnamon Bay Trail gains some 700 feet of elevation over 1.2 miles, a trip of about 50 minutes. You'll need to come back the way you came unless you arrange a shuttle car or cab to meet you, making this a total trip of 2.5 miles and about 100 minutes of trail time. From the north, this trail starts rough, with a steep gain in elevation at the beginning, but it grows more gentle as you go on, only becoming a steeper, more challenging trail as you push on. While you're on the trail, take a moment to breathe in the scent of the forest. Flowers, ferns, and rum trees spice the air and create a singular, signature aroma -- one you won't soon forget. Starting from the south the trail is almost entirely downhill, so it's a little easier on the first leg. Watch you footing on steep parts as you descend, and as you come back up, take your time and drink plenty of water.
