This camping site is 57 kilometers (35.4 miles) north of Lake Louise, off of the Icefields Parkway. The Waterfowl Lakes campground is open June 24 - September 5 (dates subject to change), and is a first-come, first-served campground. There are 116 camping sites found within the campground, and there is a vehicle:tent ration at the campground - two vehicles:one tent; one vehicle:two tents; one RV:one tent. Full-service sites are not available at this campground. The campground features disability access, fire pits and a sanitation dump; there are three dry toilets and one washroom at this campground. Fees for Silverhorn Creek are $21.50/night and $8.80 for fire pit use (fees subject to change). There are picnic shelters within the campground.'Check-in time for all campgrounds is 2 p.m., and check out is 11 a.m. Note that there isn't any Internet/Wi-Fi service at the campgrounds, and cell phone service is not available at this campground. Camping is popular within Banff National Park, and there are plenty of camp sites from which to choose during your visit. Camping fees vary by campsite and are in addition to park entry fees; cash, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, debit cards and travelers checks are accepted forms of payment. If camping in Banff National Park, the rule of thumb is to be prepared for anything. To help you prepare for your camping trip, park rangers suggest you bring along with you: warm and waterproof clothing; hats and mitts/gloves (weather can be unpredictable year-round); umbrellas; groundsheet for your tent; sleeping mat; warm sleeping bag; and extra blankets.
