This camping site is 1 kilometers (0.6 mile) from Lake Louise, and just 4 kilometers (2.5 miles) from the lake itself. The Lake Louise Tent campground is open May 30 - September 27 (dates subject to change), and reservations are available June 20 - September 14. There are 206 camping sites found within the campground, and there is a vehicle:tent ratio at the campground - two vehicles:one tent; one vehicle two tents; one RV:one tent. A maximum of six people are permitted on each site. Full-service sites are not available at this campground. The campground features flush toilets, showers, fire pits, disability access and a sanitation dump. Fees for Johnston Canyon are $27.40/night and $8.80 for fire pit use (fees subject to change). There are not picnic shelters at this campground. Check-in time for all campgrounds is 2 p.m., and check out is 11 a.m. Note that there isn't any Internet/Wi-Fi service at the campgrounds. Camping is popular within Banff National Park, and there are plenty of camp sites from which to choose during your visit. You're welcome to make [reservations](https://reservation.pc.gc.ca/Banff?Type=1&language=en) (1-877-737-3783) before your arrival (the busiest times at the campground are June through September), but if you decide to wing it, keep in mind that sites are made available on a first-come, first-served basis. Camping fees vary by campsite and are in addition to park entry fees; cash, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, debit cards and travelers checks are accepted forms of payment. If camping in Banff National Park, the rule of thumb is to be prepared for anything. To help you prepare for your camping trip, park rangers suggest you bring along with you: warm and waterproof clothing; hats and mitts/gloves (weather can be unpredictable year-round); umbrellas; groundsheet for your tent; sleeping mat; warm sleeping bag; and extra blankets.
