If you didn't get enough on the modern Helen Lake trail, add this hike for more kilometers/miles, scenery and learning. And if you like wine and cake, you're in luck. You'll have terrific views of Dolomite Peak, a "picture perfect layer-cake" mountain, accompanied by wine-colored folds beneath Cirque Peak's summit. The trailhead for this hike is off of Highway 93 North, 33 kilometers (20.5 miles) north of the Lake Louise junction and across from the Crowfoot Glacier Viewpoint.
