Hale Farm & Village Details
You can learn about the early history of the Cuyahoga Valley and the Western Reserve at Hale Farm & Village, a living-history museum close to the Ohio & Erie Canal and the towpath trail. Costumed interpreters provide an immersive and interactive experience of 19th-century life. There's a working farm and 32 historic buildings on the property. Craftspeople demonstrate the art of blacksmithing, basketweaving, candlemaking, and other cottage industries as well as the manufacturing of textiles, glassware, and even brooms. You can buy products made at Hale Farm at the museum store or get a hot lunch at the cafe. Hale Farm is open Wednesday to Sunday during the summer and on weekends in the fall.
