On the eastern side of the park, the 0.2-mile Buck Hill Trail is short but sweet, as it delivers you to the highest accessible point in Theodore Roosevelt National Park. The 360-degree view from atop 2,855-foot Buck Hill is breathtaking and vast, presenting the unusual Badlands to the south with grassy prairies lying to the north.
