Once located on the edge of an industrious mill town, this surprisingly undisturbed landscape of streams, ravines is one of the most stunning areas of Cuyahoga Valley National Park. This 2,206 acre reservation is best known for Tinker's Creek Gorge, a National Natural Landmark and home to several falls and old roads, informal trails, and official trails formed since Bedford and Cleveland MetroParks' acquisition of the area in 1926. The forest, which is filled with majestic oaks, hickories, beeches, maples, and hemlocks, and even when the deciduous trees have lost their leaves the area remains mysteriously beautiful.
