Rim Village is, in many ways, the center of all the action at Crater Lake National Park -- besides, of course, the lake itself. Located at the intersection of Munson Creek Road and West Rim Drive, roughly seven miles past the southern entrance to the park, Rim Village has everything you need to plan your visit, book guided tours, and stock up on food and souvenirs for your day or weekend in the park. You can park in the large public parking lot and walk to the Rim Village Visitor Center, Rim Village Cafe and Gift Shop, Crater Lake Lodge, and the Sinnott Memorial Overlook. Many of the guided walking tours, hikes, talks, and lectures start here, and you can stop by the visitor center for a schedule of times and locations for all current events. A short walk behind the visitor center is a small museum and an interactive exhibit on the history of the lake. The Sinnott Memorial Overlook is a very popular place to watch the sunrises and sunsets over Crater Lake. The Rim Village Cafe and Gift Shop features grab-and-go lunch items as well as a hiking-themed gift shop. For more upscale dining and lodging options, visit the historic Crater Lake Lodge.
