Rose River Falls Details

This is a moderate, shady trail with highlights that include a beautiful stream, cascades, and a sizable waterfall (you may in fact see as many as four waterfalls after a heavy rain). Wildlife can be abundant if the trail is quiet so keep your eyes open, particularly at dawn and dusk. From the Fishers Gap Overlook parking area (mile 49.4 on Skyline Drive), cross Skyline Drive. Just beyond the barrier, take a left onto the Rose River Loop Trail. This trail will take you to Rose River Falls, a 67-foot waterfall. Continue following the trail all the way to Rose River Fire Road. Turn right and head back to where you started.
