Badlands National Park can be found 75 miles east of Rapid City, S.D. From the north side of the park, you'll be able to access the park via Interstate 90. If coming from the west on I-90, take Exit 131 (at Interior, S.D.) and drive three miles south to the Northeast Entrance. If you're heading east on I-90, take Exit 110 for Wall, S.D., and travel seven miles to the Pinnacles Entrance. There is an alternative, more scenic route and access to the park from the town of Interior. If you take Highway 377 north for two miles you'll find the Interior Entrance. The alternate route from Rapid City is via Highway 44 to the town of Scenic. Note that there are many unmaintained gravel roads around Badlands National Park. Follow the directions provided. Bus tours are available through various tour companies out of Rapid City.
