Activities
Shenandoah National Park offers a variety of ranger programs most of the year. The programs change seasonally, but remain on a weekly schedule for each of the park's busiest three seasons: spring, summer, and fall. Ranger programs can take the form of a guided trail hike, a presentation on the natural and cultural history of the park, or a talk focused on Shenandoah wildlife. Ranger programs are based out of the park's visitor centers and campgrounds, where up-to-date schedules are posted regularly. Most locations in the park have alternating morning and evening programs which are easy to fit into your day's schedule.
