Cross Country Trail Details
This lovely multipurpose trail provides a number of exciting opportunities all year round. Designed with cross-country skiers in mind, the trail passes over level fields through a forest of pines, sweetgum trees, and tulip trees, and eventually runs into a few well-graded hills. Those closer to Kendall Lake are historically well known tobogganing hills, and while the toboggan chutes have since been removed, the hill is still popular with sledders. In warmer weather the meadows boast mixed wildlife and evidence of old farmhouses, stiles, and pastures. Combine this trail with the Salt Run Trail for a great long distance hike.
