An urban national park, Hot Springs National Park sits in the middle of Hot Springs, Arkansas. The park is essentially divided in two distinct but adjacent parts: Bathhouse Row in downtown Hot Springs, and the scenic drives and hiking trails on nearby Hot Springs Mountain, North Mountain, West Mountain, Music Mountain, and Sugarloaf Mountain. Visitors can tour the historic bathhouses, "take the waters" with a spa service or by from local spring-fed fountains, drive to scenic overlooks, or hike a maze of easily accessible trails (including the 10-mile Sunset Trail. Ample lodging, dining, and entertainment is available in downtown Hot Springs, and the park also includes a campground for more rustic overnight stays.
