Gorham Mountain Trail Details

The trail rises gently through pine and spruce forests to a junction with Cadillac Cliffs, a short, rough trail along boulders and fern-covered rock faces that were the island's shoreline some 12,500 years ago. The trail quickly reaches the open granite summit of Gorham Mountain and offers spectacular views of Sand Beach, Otter Cliff, Champlain Mountain, Dorr Mountain, and Cadillac Mountain. The trail then descends through mixed hardwoods into a gully between Gorham Mountain and access to the Beehive, the Bowl Trail, and the Park Loop Road. Trailhead: 9.7 miles from visitor center on Park Loop Road.
