Wawona Visitor Center Details
The Wawona Visitor Center at Hill's Studio provides maps, books and other information if you're visiting in the spring, summer, or fall. If you plan to explore the Yosemite backcountry, you can also get wilderness permits or rent a bear canister to protect your food here. Located on the grounds of the Big Trees Lodge, Hill's Studio was the gallery and art studio of famous 19th-century landscape painter Thomas Hill. Open 8:30 am to 5 pm.
