Lembert Dome Details
Rising 800 feet above Tuolumne Meadows, Lembert Dome is named after 19th-century homesteader John Baptist Lembert and is popular among hikers and rock-climbers alike. The 2.8-mile Lembert Dome hiking trail isn't too challenging but will take up to 3 hours to complete. You'll find the trailhead on Tioga Road near the eastern end of Tuolumne Meadows. Unless otherwise noted, all picnic areas in Yosemite have picnic tables, vault toilets, garbage and recycling receptacles. All picnic areas have grills except Cascades, Yosemite Creek, and Lembert Dome. No picnic areas have potable water. At Lembert Dome, there is no bus parking, but drop off and pick-up is allowed.
