Tamarack Flat Campground Details
This campground is located on Tioga Road (Highway 120) about 45 minutes north of Yosemite Valley. No RVs or trailers are permitted. The fee is $12 per campsite per night, with sites available on a first-come, first-served basis. Pets are permitted, but must be on leash at all times. Each campsite has a fire ring, picnic table, and food locker, and is near a vault toilet. There is no potable water, so drinking/cooking water must be carried in or obtained from nearby streams (and should be treated first by boiling, using a filter, or using iodine). The nearest dump station is in Yosemite Valley (Upper Pines Campground) or Tuolumne Meadows Campground. Crane Flat, about 15 minutes away, has a small grocery store. Showers are down in Yosemite Valley, at Half Dome Village and Housekeeping Camp.
