Tawa Point is the third point along the Painted Desert Rim. The Painted Desert Rim Trail can be accessed from Tawa Point. The Rim Trail is about a one-mile roundtrip. Tawa Point and the Rim Trail can also be accessed from the Tawa Trail which starts at the Painted Desert Community Complex allowing visitors a longer scenic hike to Tawa Point and the Painted Desert Inn. Visitors can hike to Tawa Point free of charge.
