Just off Interstate 40 is the Painted Desert Visitor Center, in the north unit of the park. Here guests can get information on the park from rangers, as well as picking up some brochures or books on the park. There are park exhibits and restrooms as well. "Timeless Impressions," a free orientation film about the park, is shown every half hour. A restaurant, gift shop, gas station, and convenience store are adjacent to the visitor center. Restrooms and exhibits are accessible.
