Sheep Pass Group Campground is closest to the north entrance of the park. The six group sites are meant for tents only; no RVs are allowed, and reservations are required. There is no water nor electrical hookups. Sites are tucked between large boulders and the campground area provides some great opportunities for photography. The Sheep Pass Connector Trail also begins in the campground and meets up with the Ryan Mountain Trail nearby. Open: All year  Sites: 6 Elevation: 4,500 feet  Reservations: Required for group camping, may be made up to one year in advance at [recreation.gov](http://www.recreation.gov/) or by calling 1-877-444-6777. Cost: $35-50/night depending on site capacity Services include: Pit toilets, parking pads, extra-large BBQ grills and fire rings. Potable water is available at Indian Cove Ranger Station, Black Rock and Cottonwood campgrounds and the visitor center in Twentynine Palms. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m to 6:00 a.m, and generator use is permitted only from 7:00-9:00 a.m., 12:00 to 2:00 p.m., and 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
