The west park entrance is nearest to Hidden Valley Campground. There are 44 dirt-pad sites, able to accommodate tents and RVs and trailers that may not exceed a combined maximum length of 25 feet. Campground roads are unpaved. Sites are near large boulders and Joshua Trees; both hiking and rock climbing are popular, particularly at the nearby Real Hidden Valley area. Open: All year Sites: 44 Elevation: 4,200 feet Reservations: No Cost: $15/night depending on site capacity Services include: Pit toilets, BBQ grills, picnic tables and fire rings. Potable water is available at the west entrance, Indian Cove Ranger Station, Black Rock and Cottonwood campgrounds and the visitor center in Twentynine Palms. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m to 6:00 a.m, and generator use is permitted only from 7:00-9:00 a.m., 12:00 to 2:00 p.m., and 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
