Ryan Mountain is the second-highest peak in Joshua Tree at 5,461 feet, located roughly in the center of the park. Atop the peak, visitors can expect panoramic views of Lost Horse Valley, Queen Valley, and Pleasant Valley, as well as the Wonderland of Rocks. There's a 3-mile roundtrip dirt trail that climbs 1,075 feet to the summit, with numerous stone steps.
