Immediate Assistance: If you encounter an emergency and have cell phone service, dial 911 for emergency services. This should be your first action if it's possible. No Phone Service: In many areas within Denali, cell phone service is either limited or nonexistent. If you find yourself in need of emergency assistance without phone service, it's important to locate a park ranger, bus driver, or campground host as quickly as possible. These park personnel are trained to provide help or radio for emergency assistance. Canyon Clinic: Located approximately one mile north of the park entrance, Canyon Clinic offers urgent care services to visitors and residents. The clinic operates from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily and provides 24-hour on-call assistance. For urgent care needs, you can reach them at 907-683-4433. Interior Community Health Center: Situated 13 miles north of the park, this health center is open from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on weekdays, offering a range of healthcare services. Their contact number is 907-683-2211. Sunshine Community Health Center: Although Talkeetna is several hours' drive from Denali, the Sunshine Community Health Center might be an option for visitors coming from or going to that area. It's open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and can be reached at 907-733-2273. Hospital Care: The closest hospital to Denali is located in Fairbanks, which is several hours away by road. In life-threatening emergencies or situations requiring advanced medical care, evacuation to Fairbanks may be necessary. This underscores the importance of having a plan for emergencies when visiting remote areas like Denali. Visiting Denali National Park and Preserve is an extraordinary experience, but it comes with the responsibility of being prepared for emergencies.
