Savage Alpine Trail Details
Connecting the Savage River area with the Savage River Campground, this four-mile trail is relatively strenuous, in part due to a 1,500-foot elevation gain and some 25% grades. It's an out-and-back trail but because it ends at two locations served by the free Savage River Shuttle, you can catch a ride back to your starting point (there is parking on both ends of the trail).
