The 65 foot tall arch depicted on stamps and license plates is Utah's most iconic arch of all - Delicate Arch. Formed of Entrada Sandstone, this picturesque arch can be viewed up close from a 3 mile roundtrip hike or from a viewpoint one mile away. Photographers flock to the arch at sunset and descend by moonlight or headlamp. Located in the Devils Garden, Landscape Arch is said to be the longest arch on earth at 290 feet. Part of the arch collapsed in 1991, giving the arch a fragile appearance, ready to tumble into the sand at any moment. Landscape Arch is a 30-minute walk on a sandy trail from the parking lot. Double Arch, visible from the road and only .25 miles from the parking lot, appears as the conjoined twins of the park. Great for photography and a brief respite from the summer heat, take advantage of the opportunity to get up close and personal with this fascinating formation.
