Mariposa Grove Road Details

During the warm weather months, you can follow this road to get to the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias or walk an additional three miles to Wawona Point, a 6,810-foot overlook with spectacular views of the Wawona Basin to the north. The parking lot at the grove fills up early, so your best bet may be to take the free Wawona-Mariposa Grove Shuttle Bus from the Wawona Store or the South Entrance of Yosemite. **NOTE**: The Mariposa Grove Road and the Mariposa Grove are currently closed for a restoration project. They are scheduled to reopen sometime in September of 2017.
