Curry Village (V22) Details
With an unrivaled location just below Half Dome and Glacier Point, this inviting village has been welcoming Yosemite visitors since 1899. You can stay overnight relatively inexpensively in a variety of accommodations. The Village includes 403 canvas tent cabins, 46 Yosemite cabins with private baths, 14 cabins that share convenient bathhouses, and 18 standard motel rooms in the Stoneman Cottage. You'll also find five restaurants in the Village, including pizza and Mexican take-out as well as an all-you-can-eat buffet at the Half Dome Village Pavilion. If you're here in winter you can skate on the outdoor ice rink. In summer, the heated outdoor pool is open to guests and non-guests alike. Bike and raft rentals are also available. The Yosemite Mountaineering School is headquartered in the village and offers rock-climbing lessons, guided group and day hikes, and overnight backpacking trips. Roadside marker: V22
