Fairyland Point Details

The Fairyland Point viewpoint gives a view into Fairyland Canyon, home to geologically younger hoodoos, some of which rise to virtual eye level from this vantage point. Nearby Campbell Canyon, on the other hand, is a hoodoo "graveyard" where all of the formations have eroded away. The Fairyland Loop Trail, the only way to access Fairyland Canyon, starts and ends at Fairyland Point: it's a strenuous, eight-mile hike with little shade, so be prepared with plenty of sun protection and water if you decide to hike it. You can also hike the Rim Trail from its starting point here: the trail runs south for 5.5 miles past three other breathtaking viewpoints, ending at Bryce Point.
