Tokopah Falls Trail Details

Make the trek to Tokopah Falls via the Tokopah Falls Trail and experience some of the class Sierra feature - a thundering river between bold granite U-shaped canyon, stunning alpine meadows and never ending pines. And of course, the magnificent water fall at the end of the trail. This 4.2 mile (round trip) hike is relatively straight forward and gains about 630 feet making it a great family hike or those just looking for a decent stroll. To access the falls, you'll start near the Lodgepole Campground in a Tokopah Falls trailhead parking area. This is one of the park's most popular hikes though, so don't expect solitude or pristine meditation opportunities at the falls.
